Mercy Brown Vampire Incident,
Providence + Metallica

SO this is a little late, and past the time of Halloween spirit... better late then never?

Long story short: I went to Providence Rhode Island over Halloween. I went to a bar/brewery and drank this one beer named after Mercy Brown. I got it just because the story behind it is so bad ass and is written on a plaque on the wall beneath its name as a description.

Mercy Brown died at the age of 19 to Tuberculosis, which then was a greatly misunderstood and feared disease. Friends and neighbors speculated that members of her family had been actual vampires. They exhumed her body 2 months after her burial to find her body well intact, with blood still in her heart. They believed that she was indeed undead and possibly the key to her brother Edwins sickness. Her heart was removed and mixed with water, then fed to her still alive but Tuberculosis ridden younder brother.

Lovecraft
This house, by the way i am told, was in horror novelist, H.P. Lovecrafts legendary story: Call of Cthulhu.
Now. i have not read the book, haaa. but i was obsessed with the 9:54 second Metallica instrumental when i was in 8th grade. Which, yes is an homage to Lovecraft. And IT IS soooooo BAD ASS.

Why is the song spelled Ktulu if the book is Cthulhu?
Let me just say Providence has such an eerie heir to it, it feels like it is Halloween everyday.
